We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

Your data is stored on servers in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

4. File data and confidentiality

The spreadsheets you upload to Vowl may contain sensitive business information. We treat this data as confidential. Vowl employees do not access your file contents except to provide technical support when you explicitly request it or when required to investigate a legal matter.

Your files are not used to train machine learning models or shared with any third parties outside of the service infrastructure needed to operate Vowl (e.g. cloud storage providers).

We use a limited set of trusted third-party services to operate Vowl:

• Cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and storage)
• Email delivery services (for transactional notifications)
• Analytics tools (for aggregated, anonymized usage metrics)

Each of these providers is contractually obligated to handle your data securely and not use it for their own purposes.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you authenticated. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from using Vowl.

7. Data retention

We retain your account data and files as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer. Deleted files are removed from our systems within 90 days of deletion.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to delete your data (right to erasure)
• The right to restrict or object to certain processing
• The right to data portability

9. Children's privacy

Vowl is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or a prominent notice in the app.
